It was a pleasure working with Ikumi on the images for my book. Ikumi is a true professional in both her skill and character. She has a strong knowledge of medical terminology and is an excellent artist. Ikumi was available to review the images at my convenience and was always accessible by email or phone for any additional requests that I had. I would be happy to work with Ikumi on any of my future projects.

Ikumi has been a valuable member of the textbook illustration/editorial team. She is a quick learner, very flexible, and easy to work with. Her illustrations are clear, concise, and clinically accurate to describe various procedures in the upcoming neurosurgery textbook. Before working with her, the illustration editing was a complicated and involved process. After Ikumi joined the team, the illustration creation and editing sped up. Now the textbook is nearly completed. I would highly recommend working with her.

It was a great pleasure working with Ikumi. Together, we created illustrations for our new edition of the patient handbook “Bladder Cancer Basics for the Newly Diagnosed”.
When it comes to teaching patients, nothing is better than illustrations. We needed additional illustrations for the revised edition of our patient handbook, and it was important that the new drawings match those that were already in use. Ikumi did an excellent job, providing us with clear, anatomically accurate illustrations that are purposefully simple to teach a point. Ikumi is very knowledgeable and extremely responsive, making the process a very smooth one.
Our community of patients, caregivers, family members and doctors are very pleased with our new handbook, and demand is very high!

Ikumi’s work is beautiful. Her illustrations are clean and the detail is excellent. Not only is she very pleasant and easy to work with, but she is also very efficient at rendering proofs and making edits to our constantly evolving surgical illustrations. Before getting Ikumi on board, we were challenged with long turnarounds on a project; after she came on board, the project pace greatly improved with quicker art completion. Our experience with Ikumi has been very positive and we look forward to working on more projects with her in the future.

When I hired Ikumi to illustrate my book, Powerful Thinking on Purpose, I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted. Ikumi read my book and submitted her ideas for each chapter page. She captured the essence of each chapter elegantly.
It’s not easy to illustrate a book which deals with the power of thought, and I was stunned when I saw her image of the subconscious mind. It was amazing and better than anything I could imagine.
Ikumi was always on time and responsive to my requests. It’s not often I find an artist who is both accomplished and professional.
She was a pleasure to work with.

We had great pleasure working with Ikumi. Together we created lenticular panels that accurately describe the human heart and lung in motion for an interactive science center, Mobius, in Spokane, WA.
Ikumi has the knowledge of human anatomy and the artistic skills to create just what we needed. She was very receptive to our concept and remained very attentive to details and flexible throughout the process. The final series of artwork is detailed, beautiful and accurate. The panels are now installed in the exhibit and the experience is enjoyed by all. We highly recommend Ikumi and hope to work with her again soon.
